Équipe d'intervention de proximité - L'Anonyme

Our Mission

L’Anonyme aims to promote safe behaviours and egalitarian relationships, while also preventing the transmission of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) through a proximity-based, humanist approach.

Intervention philosophy

Our work is based on a risk reduction approach, with respect for the rhythm and agentivity of the people we meet.

Our programs

Sexuality education

The sexuality education program team implements prevention, education and intervention projects to promote sexual health, the adoption of safe behaviors and the development of critical thinking skills that foster egalitarian and consensual relationships.

Through workshops in a variety of settings (schools, community centers, etc.), by accompanying people at risk, and by producing and distributing awareness-raising tools, the team reaches thousands of people every year. The sexuality education program offers more than 12 distinct projects, many of which are tailor-made to meet the needs of people living with different issues.

Mobile Outreach

Thanks to its three mobile units, L’Anonyme can be found anywhere in Montreal, close to where people live, offering psychosocial support, protective equipment and access to safe consumption areas.

The proximity intervention program deploys 3 mobile units on site: the bus, the supervised injection service as well as the transit. All vehicles operate from Sunday to Saturday, 52 weeks a year. Our harm reduction approach, which consists in equipping and informing the people we meet, allowing them to improve their health and living conditions at their own pace, is at the heart of all interventions carried out on board the mobile units.
